4-in-1 LoRaWAN occupancy sensor: PIR motion, light level, temperature and humidity
VISTA MOVE is a battery-powered LoRaWAN occupancy sensor that detects movement with a passive infrared (PIR) sensor and measures light level, temperature and relative humidity. It shows how rooms are really used, so that lighting, heating, ventilation and air conditioning can follow actual occupancy.
Data is sent wirelessly over LoRaWAN (EU868, the frequency plan used in the UK and Ireland) and can be integrated into your Building Management System (BMS) or the NAVIXIS platform to cut wasted energy and improve occupant comfort.
Designed for professional installations in offices, schools, hotels and housing, VISTA MOVE offers 6-metre, 120° motion detection, up to 10 years* of battery life and contactless NFC set-up. CE and UKCA marked.

VISTA MOVE combines four functions in a single LoRaWAN sensor: PIR occupancy detection, light level, temperature and humidity.
A single replaceable CR123 lithium battery to minimise maintenance visits
PIR technology detects movement in indoor spaces so the building can adapt to how rooms are used
A wide horizontal and vertical detection field (120°) to cover the monitored area effectively
Ambient light data (0–5,000 lux) to optimise daylight-linked lighting scenarios
Matching building services to occupants’ needs starts with knowing how spaces are actually used. Occupancy, light levels and thermal conditions are the key data for optimising lighting, improving comfort and reducing energy consumption.
VISTA MOVE brings this information together in a 4-in-1 LoRaWAN environmental sensor that monitors occupancy, light level, temperature and humidity. The data is transmitted wirelessly and can be integrated into the Building Management System (BMS) or Building Energy Management System (BEMS) to drive automation scenarios, switch or dim lighting, and fine-tune heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) control.
A solution designed for offices, meeting rooms, schools, public buildings, hotels and communal areas across the UK and Ireland.
VISTA MOVE combines PIR presence detection with light, temperature and humidity sensing in a single 4-in-1 LoRaWAN sensor. Together, this data gives a clear picture of room occupancy and indoor conditions, so you can optimise lighting, improve thermal comfort, measure space utilisation and build automation scenarios for smart buildings.
For applications that only need presence detection and light level measurement, discover VISTA SPACE, our 2-in-1 LoRaWAN sensor for smart space management.
The PIR motion sensor detects movement up to 6 metres away with a 120° detection angle – ideal for space management, lighting, security and temperature control.
The sensor measures ambient light from 0 to 5,000 lux. This data helps control lighting and adjust heating and cooling according to available daylight.
With ±0.2 °C temperature accuracy and ±2 % RH humidity accuracy, VISTA MOVE precisely monitors indoor conditions to improve comfort and optimise heating control.
Temperature and humidity accuracy is validated by a COFRAC-accredited metrology laboratory (France’s national accreditation body, the equivalent of UKAS), with a calibration certificate.
Nexelec’s L2D1 radio protocol enables direct, device-to-device (D2D) local communication between VISTA MOVE and compatible Nexelec products. The link works locally, without a gateway or a LoRaWAN network.
VISTA MOVE can therefore exchange data directly with associated Nexelec devices. Exchanges remain local, responsive and independent of the building’s network infrastructure.
VISTA MOVE communicates directly with compatible Nexelec devices (device-to-device)
VISTA MOVE can receive remote firmware updates over the LoRaWAN network using FUOTA V2 (Firmware Update Over The Air), a mechanism standardised by the LoRa Alliance. Your installed base can benefit from fixes, improvements and new features without routine site visits.
With cyber threats targeting connected devices on the rise, firmware updates play a critical role in smart building cybersecurity. FUOTA V2 makes it possible to deploy security patches remotely, remediate potential vulnerabilities and keep devices up to date throughout their service life.
Based on an open standard, FUOTA V2 works with the many LoRaWAN infrastructures and solutions on the market that support it, with no lock-in to a proprietary ecosystem.
Remote updates help strengthen IoT device security, extend the operational life of VISTA MOVE and simplify maintenance of large-scale deployments.
Powered by a single replaceable CR123 lithium battery, VISTA MOVE offers up to 10 years* of battery life for long-term monitoring of indoor spaces.
Long battery life means fewer battery changes, fewer maintenance visits and lower operating costs – especially when deploying large numbers of sensors across commercial buildings, schools and multi-occupancy housing.
VISTA MOVE is designed to make occupancy and environmental sensors simple to install, whether you are equipping a single room or rolling out several hundred devices across commercial and multi-occupancy buildings. No mains power or data cabling is required.
Thick adhesive suitable for smooth and rough surfaces, providing long-lasting adhesion and requiring minimal maintenance
With NAVIXIS, Nexelec’s IoT platform, the data collected by VISTA MOVE is centralised and available remotely to simplify building management.
The platform lets you track devices, view temperature, humidity and light level readings, and analyse occupancy data to understand how spaces are used.
For facilities managers, estates teams and building operators, NAVIXIS makes it easier to monitor sites, analyse environmental data and optimise energy consumption over time.
VISTA MOVE features contactless NFC technology, so the sensor can be configured from a smartphone. Settings are applied on site without any connection to the LoRaWAN network, for quick, straightforward commissioning.
For large-scale projects, NFC configuration speeds up the deployment of many occupancy and environmental sensors while letting you tailor settings to each building.
VISTA MOVE also includes an instant measurement function, triggered as soon as it is clipped onto its base or when the technical button is pressed. This lets installers check immediately that the sensor is working and validate the installation on site.
Adjust measurement and transmission intervals and indicator lights to suit the building and deployment.

VISTA MOVE is a 4-in-1 LoRaWAN environmental sensor that combines PIR motion detection with light, temperature and humidity measurement. Using LoRaWAN wireless communication, it collects this data remotely for integration into Building Management Systems (BMS). The data can then be used to automate lighting, adjust heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) settings and optimise energy consumption according to the activity detected in each space.
VISTA MOVE makes it easy to deploy large numbers of detection and measurement points without additional communication cabling. NFC configuration, FUOTA V2 remote updates and up to 10 years* of battery life simplify the installation and maintenance of large sensor networks. For BACnet building management systems, the Nexelec MASTER PRO LoRaWAN-to-BACnet/IP gateway can forward the sensor data to the BMS.
For projects that also require indoor air quality monitoring, VISTA WAVE adds CO₂ measurement. This 5-in-1 LoRaWAN environmental sensor combines temperature, humidity, CO₂, occupancy and light level for more complete building monitoring.
VISTA MOVE is available in two colours, black and white, to suit the look and practical requirements of any interior.
With its compact, minimalist design, this 4-in-1 LoRaWAN occupancy sensor blends discreetly into offices, meeting rooms, schools, hotels and public buildings, while detecting movement and measuring light level, temperature and humidity.
Nexelec’s commitment to more responsible electronics is part of a structured CSR approach, recognised by an EcoVadis Bronze medal.
VISTA MOVE reflects this approach with a replaceable battery, durable installation, easy maintenance and a design intended to extend the product’s service life.
Simple battery replacement and fleet monitoring help minimise premature replacements and unnecessary maintenance visits.

VISTA MOVE by Nexelec is a 4-in-1 LoRaWAN occupancy sensor for smart buildings. It combines passive infrared (PIR) motion detection – up to 6 metres with a 120° angle – with light level, temperature and humidity measurement. Its data can be integrated into a building management system (BMS) to automate lighting, optimise heating and ventilation, and measure space utilisation.
Powered by a replaceable CR123 lithium battery, it offers up to 10 years of battery life depending on settings and usage. VISTA MOVE operates on the EU868 LoRaWAN frequency plan used in the UK and Ireland and is CE and UKCA marked.
VISTA MOVE is a 4-in-1 sensor. It combines passive infrared (PIR) motion detection for occupancy with three environmental measurements:
The VISTA MOVE PIR sensor detects movement up to 6 metres away, with a 120° detection angle both horizontally and vertically. This makes it well suited to monitoring occupancy in individual offices, meeting rooms, classrooms and hotel rooms.
Yes. VISTA MOVE (references X430LS in white and X430LS_BCK in black) uses the EU868 LoRaWAN frequency plan (863–870 MHz), which is the plan used for LoRaWAN in the United Kingdom and Ireland. It can connect to a private LoRaWAN gateway installed on site or to a LoRaWAN network that covers the building.
The sensor is CE and UKCA marked.
VISTA MOVE sends its data wirelessly over LoRaWAN to a LoRaWAN gateway and network server. The data can then be passed to the building management system (BMS) through a suitable integration solution – for example the Nexelec MASTER PRO LoRaWAN-to-BACnet/IP gateway – or used in the NAVIXIS platform, which also provides an API and webhooks for third-party systems.
No. VISTA MOVE runs on a replaceable CR123 lithium battery and transmits its data wirelessly over LoRaWAN, so no mains power or communication cabling is required at the sensor. It can be fixed with the supplied adhesive pad or with screws and wall plugs.
VISTA MOVE is powered by one replaceable CR123 lithium battery. Battery life is up to 10 years, depending on the configuration (measurement and transmission intervals), network conditions and usage; it is not guaranteed.
Because the battery can be replaced on site, the sensor itself can stay in service for longer.
No. VISTA MOVE uses a passive infrared (PIR) sensor, which detects movement from changes in infrared radiation in its field of view. It does not capture images or identify individuals, so the occupancy information it provides is anonymous.
LoRaWAN is designed for long-range, low-power communication. Its radio signal reaches through walls and floors across a building, and its very low energy consumption allows battery-powered sensors such as VISTA MOVE to run for up to 10 years without mains power.
LoRaWAN sensors do not need to join the building’s Wi-Fi network, which simplifies deployment in large estates. Wi-Fi offers higher data rates, but they are not needed for occupancy and environmental data and come with much higher power consumption.
The L2D1 (Link to Device) radio link is a wireless communication technology that lets two compatible Nexelec devices communicate directly with each other, without a gateway or a LoRaWAN network.
It enables local, device-to-device (D2D) data exchange, in particular to simplify how devices are paired and operate together within a connected building.
This technology provides direct communication with a long radio range, which simplifies installation and reduces dependence on the network infrastructure.
Yes. VISTA MOVE supports FUOTA V2 (Firmware Update Over The Air), a mechanism standardised by the LoRa Alliance. When updates are made available, fixes, security patches and improvements can be deployed remotely over a compatible LoRaWAN infrastructure, without visiting each sensor.
VISTA MOVE and VISTA SPACE are two LoRaWAN sensors designed for smart building management.
VISTA MOVE is a 4-in-1 sensor that combines presence detection with light level, temperature and humidity measurement. It monitors indoor conditions so that building services can adapt to how spaces are actually used.
VISTA SPACE is a 2-in-1 sensor dedicated to presence detection and light level measurement. It suits applications that need occupancy monitoring and lighting optimisation, without temperature or humidity measurement.
The choice therefore depends on the data you need to run the building. If you also need CO₂ monitoring for indoor air quality, VISTA WAVE is a 5-in-1 LoRaWAN sensor that adds CO₂ to temperature, humidity, occupancy and light level.
