Technical information

LoRaWAN thermostatic radiator valve for energy savings

FLOW CORE is a LoRaWAN thermostatic radiator valve designed to improve heating control in collective housing, hotels, offices, schools, public buildings, healthcare facilities and tertiary buildings.

Installed directly on a hot water radiator, FLOW CORE regulates heating room by room according to setpoints and schedules stored in memory. This local regulation helps reduce overheating, improve occupant comfort and lower unnecessary energy consumption.

Thanks to its LoRaWAN connectivity, FLOW CORE enables remote supervision, parameter updates, equipment monitoring and centralized heating management. It is designed for building managers who need a simple, scalable and reliable solution for connected heating control.

Local regulation, even without network connection

FLOW CORE stores its heating schedules directly in memory. This means the thermostatic radiator valve continues to regulate heating locally, even if the LoRaWAN network is temporarily unavailable.

The wireless network is used to supervise equipment, adjust parameters, receive alerts and update the product remotely. The heating regulation itself does not rely on permanent cloud commands, which improves operational continuity.

NFC setup and remote supervision

FLOW CORE can be configured quickly using NFC from a smartphone. This makes commissioning easier during renovation projects, multi-site deployments or large-scale installation campaigns.

Once installed, LoRaWAN connectivity enables remote configuration, supervision and maintenance. Building operators can follow the status of the equipment, manage heating schedules and optimize the heating strategy over time.

Up to 10 years of battery life

FLOW CORE operates with 2 replaceable lithium AA batteries. It provides 6 years of standard battery life and can reach up to 10 years depending on product settings and usage conditions.

This long battery life helps reduce maintenance campaigns, limit on-site interventions and simplify the management of large equipment fleets.

Designed for the FLOW ecosystem

FLOW CORE is part of the Nexelec FLOW ecosystem. It can be combined with the NODE remote temperature sensor for more accurate room temperature measurement, ADAPT adapters for installation on existing radiators, CASE+ protective cover for shared environments and NAVIXIS for remote supervision.

Features of the FLOW CORE connected thermostatic radiator valve

Connectivity

LoRaWAN
Remote control, supervision, data feedback and parameter updates via a LoRaWAN wireless network.

L2D1
Local wireless radio link with the NODE remote temperature sensor to improve room temperature regulation, without a gateway or LoRaWAN network.

Regulation

LoRaWAN thermostatic radiator valve for hot water radiators
FLOW CORE regulates heating directly at radiator level, room by room, according to the defined setpoints and heating schedules.

Embedded heating schedules
Heating scenarios are stored in memory to maintain regulation even in the event of a temporary loss of the LoRaWAN network.

Operating modes
Comfort, Eco, Away and Frost Protection modes adapt heating to building usage and help optimize energy consumption.

BOOST mode
Temporarily increases heating to reach the desired comfort temperature more quickly.

Temperature setting
Temperature adjustment in 0.5 °C increments for more precise heating control.
