How does the carbon monoxide detector work?

The DAACO uses a factory-calibrated electrochemical sensor to measure the concentration of carbon monoxide in the air. If safety thresholds are exceeded, it emits a powerful 85 dB audible alarm to alert occupants immediately.

How long does the detector last?

The detector is designed to operate for up to 10 years, guaranteeing reliable, continuous protection without the need for frequent replacement.

Where should the CO detector be installed?

For optimum efficiency, we recommend that you install the detector :

  • In rooms with combustion appliances (stoves, boilers, water heaters, fireplaces).
  • 1.50 m from the floor, on a wall or piece of furniture, because CO is a gas that spreads evenly through the air.
  • At least 1 to 3 metres from combustion sources to avoid false alarms.

Is the DAACO certified to safety standards?

Yes, it is certified to EN 50291, which guarantees its effectiveness and reliability in detecting carbon monoxide.

How do I know if the detector is still working?

The product has an LED indicator and an end-of-life alarm, warning you when the sensor needs replacing.

Is it necessary to maintain the detector?

This detector is designed for minimum maintenance thanks to its insect barrier, which prevents the entry of pests that could trigger false alarms. However, it is advisable to test the alarm once a month by pressing the test button.

What should I do if the alarm goes off?

In the event of an alarm :

  1. Ventilate the room immediately by opening doors and windows.
  2. Evacuate the premises if the CO level is high.
  3. Call the emergency services (112 or 18 in France) if symptoms appear (headaches, dizziness, nausea).

Have your installations checked by a professional before returning to your home.
